Maria Tecce – Strapless
After heating up the Assembly Rooms at her first Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year, Maria returns to the madness of this year's festival with her hot new show 'Strapless'.
This riveting collaboration with one of Ireland's most sought after young director Aoife Spillane-Hinks yields a smouldering night of song steeped in raw sensuality, elegance, and Spanish spice. The music of Tom Waits, Led Zepplin, and Nina Simone meet sizzling of Argentinian tango, served up with Tecce's fiery, passionate style combining seductive vocals with the beguiling command of a leading actress.
Maria performs at The Assembly Rooms in the intimate Supper Room venue from August 4 - 29 @ 6:40pm (except 9 & 16). See www.assemblyfestival.com for tickets and bookings

"She can switch from froideur to scalding meltdown in seconds... A total striptease without removing so much as a shoe.” The Observer
"Sheer class... haunting.” The List

"Sultry or seductive seem wholly ineffectual when measured against the actual reality of this woman. A siren... powerfully gifted... masterful". AllTheFestivals.com
