Viva Diva gets Dangerous in The Gate Theatre's new 2010 production
Maria has just been asked to join the cast of The Gate Theatre's upcoming 2010 production of 'Dangerous Liaisons' in Dublin. Not only is The Gate Theatre Ireland's most prestigious performance venue but also Dublin's oldest and most historic theatre, having played host to the world's most renowned actors, directors, and designers over the past 80 years. This is a rare chance to see Maria lay aside her singer's crown and don the acting mantle and will be her first acting role since starring as Alida Slade in the 2009 smash hit 'Roman Fever'. Maria hits New York / Oct 2009
After tiumphant success in Edinburgh & Dublin these past 2 months, Maria hits New York on October 8 & 11 for her debut performances in the Big Apple.
On Oct. 8, Maria sings in Lincoln Center, the most venerated venue in the world next to Carnegie Hall and Covent Garden. Then on Oct. 11, Maria performs her hit show 'Viva!' in New York's hottest venue for music and cabaret, The Metropolitan Room.
Maria is joined on stage by the cream of New York's musicians, guitarist JJ McGeehan, pianist Ross Patterson, and bassist Randy LandauCome join the party in the world's most exciting city and enjoy the festivities. It's going to be a hot one!

So far...

Boston-born Italian American performer Maria Tecce now makes her home in the lovely environs of Dublin. Her musical career began seven years ago in Europe and she has steadily gained recognition and critical endorsement as both performer and composer/arranger.
Maria's live performances have packed venues in Ireland, U.K., USA, and Europe, and Maria continues to move from strength to strength, performing to ever widening audiences and garnering universal praise from both audiences and critics alike. Acting runs in tandem with music in this versatile performer's life and Maria is regularly invited to work in Irish and U.K. theatre, television, and film and in the past has worked with the likes of Jim Sheridan, the Abbey Theatre, BBC, and ITV.

New recordings planned for 2010

Maria will be recording new material in 2010. This will add to Maria's canon of releases which include 2006's rapturously recieved 'Torch song' and 2003's 'All my Love'.
